Scott Cox, vice president and director of preconstruction services for Cox Fire Protection, Tampa, Fla., was named ABC Florida Gulf Coast Chapter’s Young Professional (YP) of the Year during their 2015 Excellence in Construction awards. Cox was recognized for his role in co-founding and co-chairing the chapter’s NexGen program, serving on the chapter’s marketing committee and for his position on ABC’s National Young Professional Committee.

In addition, the chapter named their Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals who were recognized for their contributions to the construction industry as young leaders in the Florida Gulf Coast region.

Among those top 20 also included ABC National Young Professional Committee member, David Turcios of Nielson, Wojtowicz, Neu & Associates and National YP participants, Ben Halliday of Aerotek and Jason Spears of Peninsular Mechanical Contractors.
